Speech Language Pathologist
Liz has a Master’s of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Minnesota, Mankato. Following graduation, Liz worked as Speech-Language Pathologist in the transitional care setting working with adults following strokes and brain injuries primarily treating cognition, aphasia, and dysphagia. She switched to working with pediatrics in 2016. She has primarily worked with pediatrics in the outpatient setting and contracts through the reservation one day a week. Liz loves working with kids and being able to help them find their voice and their ability to communicate!
Liz has worked with kids primarily between the ages of 1-15 years old who have presented with a large variety of communication disorders including: expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, language disorders associated with Autism, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders, motor speech disorders, central auditory processing disorders, language disorders associated with hearing loss, and language disorders associated with various syndromes and/or global developmental delay. Her special interests are early speech and language development, apraxia of speech, social skills, and feeding skills.
When she is not providing therapy, Liz loves being with her family and friends, cooking and baking, reading, running, hiking, fishing, camping, and hunting.
